The RPOA Board of Directors wishes to make all owners aware of several issues in our community.
(1) The main streets – RiverPointe Parkway, River Pointe Drive and River Pointe Drive South - are city streets. Owners, renters, and guests park on these street at their own risk. The Association will not be held liable for damage to vehicles or loss of property parked on city streets
(2) Please pay attention to the no-parking signs on River Pointe Drive. The roadway has narrow, blind curves and parking only in permitted areas is for your safety as well as that of other residents. Owners of trailers need to be aware that city ordinances prohibit overnight parking of commercial vehicles on residential streets. The Board is working with Portsmouth Police to enforce the ordinances and owners may find themselves cited if they violate the ordinances.
(3) Large amounts of trash are being dropped off along River Pointe Parkway. Some residents have city trash pickup and can place bulk items on the curb outside their property the night before trash pickup. Other residents live in sub-associations that have private trash collection. If you want bulk pickup you must contact your trash company and arrange for pickup. There may be a charge for bulk services. It is UNACCEPTABLE to drop off bulk trash along any part of River Pointe Drive at any time. The Board is working with Portsmouth Waste Management and the Police to enforce littering ordinances and you may find yourself cited if you drop off trash along River Pointe Drive.
The Board does not want to appear mean-spirited but we want our community to remain safe and attractive. Your cooperation is appreciated.
